Spanish cultures and traditions draw crowds from around the world every year to its many fiestas. In fact Spain hosts more than 3,000 fiestas each year that begin in the new year and continue through the summer months to the end of the year.
Each fiesta will be in honor of a Saint and all villages across Spain will take on their own celebration.
This is a time when schools close and workers are given the day off to plan and attend the fiesta that will surround food , wine and the church.
The bull which is known as a image of Spain and depicted on many tourist novelties to be taken home becomes a focus in the summer months of celebrations.
Bullfighting is a very old tradition but calls to ban the barbaric sport are gaining pace and the first ever bullfighting ban was put in place in the north-east of Spanish mainland. Barcelona saw the last ever bullfight to take place in September 2011.
